It is one of the most sought exam for the students which is conducted in two tiers which are organized by Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE. Candidates get admission to B.TECH and B.ARCH programs which are being offered by various NIT, IIIT and other CFIT with the help of this entrance exam. Correction window for the application form started on 25th January, 2017. Candidates are advised to check the authentic details and information in that slot as it was the last option to correct any mistake.
New in JEE
There will be no weight age of 12th class marks while calculating the JEE Mains Rank. There are no minimum criteria of marks of 12th class for appearing in the entrance exam. The candidates have to score a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or be in top 20 percentiles for general category and 65% marks in aggregate for reserved categories in class 12th to be eligible for getting admission to IIT, IIIT, NIT and other CFTI. It is mandatory that a candidate should possess an Aadhaar card to be eligible to apply for the entrance exam

The candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after 1st October, 1992 for general category and for reserved categories it is 1st October, 1987.Candidates should have appeared in class 12th in and after 2014.Candidates should have attempted minimum of 5 subjects in class 12th.Candidates can appear for the entrance exam only 3 times .Diploma holders are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
Application Form
Candidates are required to fill the application form through online process only. No other mode of application form submission will be accepted. Candidates can submit only one application form. Submitting more than one application form will lead to rejection.The admit card for the entrance exam will be released online by the exam conducted authority on the official website in the first week of March 2017.There is no requirement for sending the printed application form to the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Exam Pattern
4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
