Common Law Admission Test has been converted into a centralized test to facilitate admission into 17 prominent National Law Universities in India. This test is of two hours duration and the topics covered would be elementary, mathematics or numerical ability, English, General Knowledge, current affairs and logical reasoning. CLAT result 2016 would be declared in the month of May, 2016. The declaration of the result would be entirely based on state specific rank list and merit list for various categories which includes General/ SC/ST/OBC/Women and PWD candidates.

The aspirants who are seeking the result can download the result by visiting the official website of the university. There is a specific process which summarizes the result view; the candidates have to provide their registered email id and password to download the result. The panel for result checking and downloading will only be available once, the result has been declared by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law.

In the last academic year, the total number of candidates who were selected for the law courses across 17 colleges is 2,000. Out of the total qualified candidates, there were 1,181 male and 819 female who were qualified under the entrance.

- Counseling: The allocation of seats would be given based on the marks scored in the entrance test and the qualifying exam score. The scores may vary as per the category and the results would be given based on the categories under which the applicants have applied. The candidates who have appeared would be given the opportunity to avail online counselling.
- Answers Keys: The CLAT answer keys would be declared immediately after the entrance test, the candidates can go through the answer keys to know about the marks which they can score. There is no provision for rechecking and reevaluation in this exam.
